Diver squares up to shark in incredible photo

Incredible moment diver comes face-to-face with huge great white shark

It was a close call for the diver (Picture: Ben Chase/Facebook)

This shark looks a lot like it’s about to tear this diver’s head off.

But the man swimming off the Augusta coast, in Australia, had everything under control, apparently.

He just pushed the shark’s nose away, which messed with its senses because the nose has many nerve endings.

‘My bro sent me this photo taken of a local diver near Augusta pushing away this great white with his glove on the nose,’ a Facebook user wrote on the Perth and WA Fishing Reports page.

‘When done right it temporarily sedates the shark.’

Luke Shaw says Manchester United’s late win at Hull was like going ‘back to the old days’

Luke Shaw has said Manchester United’s dramatic late victory at Hull was like going ‘back to the old days’ as they look to end win their first title in the post-Fergie era.

England striker Marcus Rashford came off the substitutes bench to score the only goal in the dying moment at the KCOM stadium.

It was that victory that maintained United’s 100% start to the season under new manager Jose Mourinho in the Premier League as they chase their first title since 2013.

The Portuguese manager revealed his delight in winning in ‘Fergie time’ and Shaw was also quick to compare the victory with a bygone era at Old Trafford.

I am a bit of a fan of Lion King and have been ever since it first came out in 1994. Now I feel old.

I didn’t really know just how much it had sunk in how all-consuming of my life it had been at one point, until this summer when I went on a safari in South Africa.

As we made our way across the Sabi Sabi private game reserve close to the border with Mozambique, I couldn’t help but quote the film over and over again, much to the delight/annoyance of my travelling companion.

The first X Factor weekend of 2016 continued with another audition episode on Sunday night with a similar mix of fun acts, young talent and second chancers.

The show kicked off still in Scotland with Eddie Lee from Glasgow and Simon immediately took to the 51-year-old because they apparently had looks and fashion in common.

The almost comic routine to Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love showed off a pretty decent voice and the judges were happy to put him through.

An upbeat Saara Aalto from Finland sang a powerful Chandelier which confused an impressed Nicole so much she called the 29-year-old ‘the bomb.com’ and suggested that ‘my arse wants to clap… Read the full story
