Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has revealed why he turned down a move to Arsenal this summer.

In his autobiography, which is being serialised in The Sun, the 29-year-old blames the Gunners’ tactics and his desire to build on the Foxes’ accomplishments.

Eight current or former Premier League managers have been accused of financially benefiting from player transfers, according to stunning claims from a string of football agents.

The accusations come hours after Sam Allardyce parted company with England for offering advice to a far-east firm on how to ‘get around’ rules on player transfers.

Allardyce, 61, admitted his ’embarrassment’ in a statement following his departure but the crisis at the FA looks to have worsened following more accusations uncovered in the Daily Telegraph.

Leicester City have become the first English side to win their first two matches in the Champions League.

The Foxes defeated Porto 1-0 on Tuesday night, thanks to a first-half goal from Islam Slimani.

Leicester City chairman puts himself on matchday programme instead of manager Claudio Ranieri

They won their first game in the competition 3-0 away against Club Brugge, with Riyad Mahrez scoring twice and Marc Albrighton getting the other.

This means that the Midlands outfit have made a better start to life in Europe’s premier club competition than the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
